Des Moines Woodworkers Association A non-profit association dedicated to education, community service, and sharing of knowledge for those of all ages and skill levels in the field of woodworking. - We have over 400 members from 68 Iowa cities and a few from other states.
- Membership is open to all individuals who have an interest in any aspect of woodworking.
- Members come together for a meeting the second Tuesday of the month at the Woodsmith Store in Clive, IA.
- Meetings consist of educational programs, idea sharing, time to show completed projects, and time to become involved in helping others with their woodworking skills.
- Programs focus on a wide variety of woodworking disciplines and promote woodworking safety.
- The association is operated by a Board of members who are elected by the general membership.
- Members are entitled to - a monthly newsletter, a membership card which provides discounts at leading local & catalog suppliers of woodworking related products, attend regularly scheduled meetings and receive preferred rates at special club sponsored educational seminars.
- There are several special interest groups for members that allow those with an interest in a specific area of woodworking to meet separately for education, techniques, skill building, fellowship, and special projects.
